Affiliate Link Cloaking - Should You Use It
If you’re getting started in affiliate marketing, you may have heard people talking about affiliate link cloaking and perhaps been wondering if this is something you should be doing as well. There are several arguments for someone to cloak their links,1. Affiliate link hijacking – occurs when someone uses their own affiliate link to purchase a product. Lets say, for example, that you read about a product on my site and click the link to the product’s main site to check it out. You then decide to buy the product, but you copy the information in the URL and then substitute your own affiliate link in place of mine. When you use the new link to buy the product, you get the commission instead of me.2. Affiliate link bypassing – occurs when someone simply removes the affiliate link to go directly to the product’s main selling site. Some people do this because they do not want you to get the commission.3. Affiliate link condensing – some affiliate links can be long, ugly, and uninviting, which can cause some people to avoid clicking the link. Many people will recognize an affiliate link and will not click on it because the do not like being sold to, or only view it as a sales pitch. You want as many people to click your link as possible so if you have a link that looks something like this, www.productsite.com/affiliatepage.asp?affid=prod

Move Slowly Into Your First Office
Q: I have outgrown my home office and need to find office space for me and two part time employees. I am really excited about opening my first official office, but never having rented commercial space before I don't know anything about how this process works. What are some things I should consider before signing a lease? I'm really eager to get started! -- Jay P.A: Congratulations on the growth of your business, Jay, and I understand your excitement. Putting your name on a commercial lease is one of the first tangible commitments an entrepreneur makes to his or her business and searching for that first office or retail space can be a truly invigorating experience. We entrepreneurs like to imagine ourselves as modern day explorers, going out into the cold, cruel, commercial world to plant the company flag in our own little piece of rented real estate. I remember that feeling of triumph when I rented my first office so many years ago. Funny how you never get the same feeling when laying claim to future office space. For us old timers searching for new office space is about as exciting as watching paint dry on a new office wall. For entrepreneurs who have never rented commercial space before, however, moving into that first office or storefront serves to validate their membership in the Official Entrepreneur's Club and makes them feel that they have arrived.
On the heels of SXR Uranium One’s announcement to acquire UrAsia Energy, one might conclude this could spawn the beginning of widespread consolidation in the uranium sector. In the early morning hours after the $5 billion deal was announced, SXR Uranium One chief executive Neal Froneman emailed StockInterview writing, “Our focus on the U.S. has not changed.” In previous interviews, Mr. Froneman has kindly been transparent in his intentions to not only build up his uranium assets in the United States, but to pursue a senior stock exchange listing, presumably the New York Stock Exchange.

On Tuesday, the Financial Times (UK) reported that investors wanting high-quality exposure to the uranium bull market are basically limited to buying shares in Cameco Corp. Froneman told the newspaper, “The new Uranium One will provide an alternative to Cameco.” He’s right, but there are also two mid-size uranium producers – Denison Mines and Paladin Resources – with sufficient market capitalization to acquire one or more of the smaller uranium juniors. Widely respected Justin Reid, uranium analyst at Sprott Securities, told the Financial Times, “for them to retain market share, they have to do something aggressively, and they have to do it now.”

Justin Reid’s recent thesis, 2007 – Uranium Equities, is appropriately sub-titled, “The Sector Moves Towards Production & Consolidation.” His dual theme for uranium mining stocks in 2007 is consolidation and U.S. uranium miners offering a security of supply. Selling Your Own CD's
If you're brand-new to online marketing, creating discs to send to your customers can be quite intimidating.First you have to burn the disk, then you have to print the label for the disk, then you have to package the disk, and finally you need to ship the disk. Now, how can this be handled at a big rate? Until today, I forgot just how much research and trial and error I've been through on this subject. Well, let me bring you up to speed real quick:1. I use a piece of equipment that burns the discs, prints the label directly to the disk, and uses a robotic arm to move the discs through the process. It's called a Bravo 2 manufactured by Primera. The unit retails for approximately $2500, but it's very easy to find a brand new one on eBay for approximately $1500.2. In order for this unit to be able to print directly to the disk face, your discs must be inkjet printable. There are two types of inkjet printable discs. White ones and silver ones. I use the silver ones more than the white ones, but this is just my preference. Either one will work well. The cheapest place I've found to buy these discs are at supermediastore.com3. I ship many different discs for different types of offers. Some are more expensive than others, meaning the buyer paid more for them. The ones that cost the customer more are shipped in bubble pack envelopes, the free discs or extremely che

The 6 Components Of An Effective Presentation
One ingredient common to top salespeople is the ability to consistently deliver effective presentations. An effective presentation moves a customer from their current position to a position of action.Effective presenters use the following Methodology Selling™ techniques to move customers to action.1. Preparation – Establish a very clear vision or goal. Ensure your thoughts and ideas are clear as to how you will move the customer’s position from where they are now to a position of action.2. Educate And Create Interest – The audience needs to focus on you the presenter not on themselves. Inform the audience as to why you are there and the purpose of your presentation. Understand the customer’s needs and pain. Clearly define your resolution to their dilemma. The first few minutes of the presentation are vital. These few seconds can determine the success of the presentation.3. Clear Presentation – Present in a clear simple manner. Avoid using this venue as an opportunity to show the audience how much you know. Keep it simple and focused. Present points one at a time and make sure each point is understood before moving on.4. They need to feel their pain to want to mo

Make Money on eBay - Your Products must be of High Quality
One of the mistakes made by some who hope to make money on eBay is to sell products that are of inferior quality. Not only will that lead to lots of questions, complaints and refunds, but it can also lead to the actual termination of your business. Set high standards for the quality of the products that you sell and hold yourself and your product suppliers to those standards.Your customers expect that the products they purchase from you on eBay will be of high quality. They expect that whenever quality is compromised that fact will be clearly stated upfront. They expect that there will be no flaws or imperfections in your products. Further they will hold you to that standard throughout the transaction. Meeting that standard is rewarded as you make money on eBay. Not meeting that standard can result in business failure. So what do you trade whenever you start selling poor quality products? What are the results of selling inferior products? What happens when you fail to clearly inform prospective buyers that there are problems with the products that you sell? It starts with the elimination of the possibility to make money on eBay. But there is more; hold onto your hat as we cover just a few of those consequences!Expect the first level of feedback to come in the form of email questions that are centered around quality issues. Next there will be complaints about your product

Splogs and a Side of Spam
If your online, you probably already know what spam is. From Viagra to online gambling, it seems like our e-mail boxes are stuffed with unwanted solicitations everyday. But there's a new kid on the block and its name is Splog. In case your not familiar with the term, Splogs in essence is a Blog that offers real no resource other than trying to trick its visitors into clicking on advertisements or sending traffic to affiliate sites. So why should you care you might ask? We'll if you use a search engine, the chances are that you've come across a splog or two in your innocent searches. Search results end up tainted because the splogger has a basic understanding on how to make his site come up for your search request. Don't be fooled though, this Blog has little to offer in the way of solving your search request. Typically, content consists of articles, press releases, or marketing mumbo-jumbo that wasn't written by its respectful owner splattered with advertisements for you to click on. So ask yourself this: What's worse? Deleting a spam e-mail or stumbling on a Website that tricks you into thinking it has something useful to offer that you asked for?Because starting a Blog is free, such as the case with Blogger.com, anyone with an e-mail address and a computer can start a mirad of Splogs with little or no effort. Add that to a revenue sharing program like Google'

Reid wrote in his February 14th report, “We expect that the acquisition parade has just begun and will become a common theme in 2007. Moving forward we suggest that the U.S. will be a focus, as security of supply, aggressive development plans, and a large resource base waiting for exploitation should be attractive to companies looking for production visibility within a stable political climate.”

As an aside, we phoned Justin Reid to congratulate him on his brilliant and comprehensive 120-page uranium mining report. We also wanted to thank him for joining the growing minority of analysts who view the numerous advanced uranium exploration companies, developing their U.S. assets, as one of the more promising and safer havens for investors – the dominant theme in our articles over the past year. After all, the United States presently operates more than 23 percent of the world’s nuclear reactors and annually consume about 55 million pounds U3O8. By contrast, U.S. uranium production has only recently risen to about three million pounds of mined uranium oxide. U.S. utilities need reassurance there will be security in future supply so this market remains the premier country for uranium mining production for at least the next decade.
