Recent marketing studies reveal that most marketing strategies directed toward women fail to live up to potential due to lack of appropriate market segmentation.Businesses that are the most successful and consistently reach women with targeted marketing efforts take advantage of the different ways in which women collect information and make consumer decisions. Great leaders surround themselves with great and skillful people. Jim Collins, author of Good to Great, and his team researched what it takes for organizations to achieve greatness. He identified great companies and found that they all had the same kind of leadership. These leaders were usually humble, yet passionate about the business they were in. Unlike many of the celebrity CEO's of today, they were ambitious for their organization to succeed, rather than ambitious for themselves.

They focused their organizations on a combination of what they were passionate about doing, what they were good at doing, and what would drive their economic engine (sustain and/or make profitable).

Collins states that one of the first things these leaders do is to surround themselves with the right people. Instead of spending time and money on motivational incentives, they find people who are already motivated. In other words, they recognize that true motivation comes from within.

How to Choose a Video Production Company
Determine the size of the production company you need. Although there are many factors that determine the cost of a video shoot (as explained later), the first consideration for staying in budget is the type and size of the production company. Large production companies have multiple studios and sound stages, editing suites, and a sizeable staff. These are the people that television stations and Hollywood producers call on when they need a local production for television,

How To Catch The Eye Of The Gen Y
Millennials, echo boomers, digital millennials, kidemployees, are just a few names of the young adults that were born between 1980 and 2000. They are 80 million strong and there are predictions that they will grow to 100 million. They are the most influential generation and they have shown more spending power and stronger opinions at an earlier age. The economic opportunity is enormous and one every retailer needs to embrace. Corporate Identity - The Relation Between Culture and the Company's Product
All larger companies and all those who have been in the market for several business cycles are prone to an (identity) crisis. Corporate identity and the product of the company are related. This is quite important when dealing with change. In his book – “let’s make things better,” Marcel Metze writes about the Philips culture which is centered around engineers on one side and salesmen on the other; some how these two groups keep the organization in balance. For those of you how kn

Managing Flat File Storage Needs: A Case Study
For the manager of the Building Records unit at a major west coast public University, the document storage problems were critical. The problem wasn’t justifying budget for more space. There was no more space to be had.The Facilities Management Department must preserve and keep accessible more than 40,000 original plans and drawings. I have met many leaders who feel "stuck" with individuals who are not motivated to deliver the value that is needed. Most leaders do not have the luxury of bringing in new people. Quite often, you have to work with who you have. If people aren't performing, you usually have to give them a chance. If over time, they do not improve, you may be able to let them go. Yet, it does not serve you or your organization to focus your energy on "How do I get rid of this person?"

Leadership is about helping others to find their own internal motivation. The question is not: "How do we get this person to do the work?" The questions are: "What can this person be passionate about? What are his best talents and how can those talents be used best in this organization?" As leaders, we should want for every person in our care to be excited about getting up in the morning and coming to work. If we can help them find this, we won't have to motivate them.
