It is attractive if you consider watching some deer or caribu trod over it annually, thrilling. A few flowers withstand the cold, too.
About 30 yrs ago, another [?] oil company sought to do the same thing and created a huge pipeline from the drilling area down to the Pacific Ocean to have its oil loaded upon tanker ships headed to the San Francisco Bay Area to get refined AND DISTRIBUTED to national tanker trucks there and thus, provide more inexpensive oil and gas to Californians. I was a graduate student then, and along with 40,000,000 other Californians--so very excited-- waiting for that first Alaskan gallon of cheap gas. Part of the pipeline sprung a leak. MORE suspense. What occurred almost 30 years ago is that the oil went down the pipeline and to the tankers. On the way, several Asian oil buyers met the oil owners [WHO AMERICA THOUGHT WAS THEMSELVES] and agreed that all of the oil should by-pass California and go directly to Japan.
