Home prices continued to slow during the second quarter for most metro areas in the US.Price gains fell into the single digits in many areas. The national median price for an existing single-family home was $227,500 for the quarter, an increase of 3.7% from $219,400 for the year.The median price is not the average home price, it is the point where half of the homes sell for more and half sell for less.One-hundred and fifty-one metro areas were covered in the report by the National Association of Realtors.
