Atricle Dump - Bush War II: Twenty-Dollar Meals
Postcard Marketing is a Lead Generator - Not a Brand Builder elmsman to take the ship through the canal and then went to the mess for a cup of tea. (I made up the last part of this. Well, I made up a lot of it.)I would like to make two important points about postcard marketing:Point #1 - "Learn More" is Not an Offer Here's the reason I stress this point. While working in the postcard marketing industry, "learn more" was one of the most frequently used calls-to-action I saw put onto postcards. The problem was, these companies gave the reader no reason to learn more. No incentive was mentioned. No compelling argument was made. No mention of the value to be had. Just a plain old "learn more."I call this the "so what" factor. I get postcards all the time that tell me a little about the company and close with a "learn more" statement. "So what," is my immediate reaction. How does this apply to me?You could The resumption of normal canal traffic made Anthony Eden angry. (See http://www.mdlg05075.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/eden.htm.) There’s not that much to do. In the evening I’m tired of writing, fiddling with my Internet, Direct Mail and Mail Order businesses, and I only read in the bathroom. So I watch PBS.It might seem a clever idea at the time but driving without car insurance is one of the stupidest ideas a person can have.If you own a car don’t move it off the drive without taking out car insurance. You might be lucky and have years of accident free motoring but then again you might not!Car insurance isn’t meant to be something you make regular use of. Like most insurances the hope is that you will never need to make a claim but if something goes wrong and you are involved in an accident you will certainly live to regret trying to cut corners and save some money through not having car insurance. If you haven’t go car insurance and are wondering whether or not to get a car insurance quote just take a look a PBS is a font of information. The night before last PBS told of the British/France conspiracy that had the Israel army make a fake raid on the Suez Canal. It starred Anthony Eden. The Israel fake, which ended 40 miles from the canal, allowed England and France to invade Egypt under the guise of preserving the peace. The French designed this marvelous plan. The agreement was supposed to be secret and Eden was upset when he learned that the agreement had been put in writing with British and French signatories. Well, what did he expect? That was not the White House Cartel. The British and French had not liked it when Nasser stole their canal. Nasser needed the money generated by the manmade ditch to pay for his new dam. The United States had decided not to pay for the dam right in the middle of things. What could Nasser do? (See http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Lobby/5270/index2.htm.) First the British decided that Egypt could not manage the dam. They pulled their pilots and send a zillion ships to overload canal traffic. They knew that no ship could make it through the canal without British pilots especially if the traffic was heavy. The band of men that Nasser had manage canal operations had to make a decision. They appointed a trainee to guide the ships through the canal. The canal is not exactly the Mississippi River. It’s a manmade ditch designed for the passing of ships. All they had to do was watch for dead camels. The pilot gave this order to the captain of the first ship. He said, “Go down the middle and try not to hit the banks." The captain, like the captains of the other ships waiting in line, probably had been through the canal a zillion times. He told the helmsman to take the ship through the canal and then went to the mess for a cup of tea. (I made up the last part of this. Well, I made up a lot of it.) Certainly. It might take a while to change the conversation habits that’s been ingrained throughout your life, but it is very possible. To not make this article longer than necessary let’s just skip right to some common mistakes many of us have made in conversations. And a couple of solutions. Not listeningErnest Hemingway once said:“I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen.”Don’t be like most people. Don’t just wait eagerly for your turn to talk. Put your own ego on hold. Learn to really listen to what people actually are saying. When you start to really listen, you’ll pick up on The canal is not exactly the Mississippi River. (I made up the last part of this. Well, I made up a lot of it.)The necessity of taking a bad credit mortgage loan occurs when you want to take a mortgage loan but your credit score does not speak in favour of you. A bad credit record makes you vulnerable as a borrower. So some lenders may not entertain your mortgage application. However, this does not mean that you can never get approval for a mortgage loan as your credit history is not impressive. The fact is that mortgage market is quite changed due to the competitive nature of modern economy. Mortgage lenders are aware of the fact that there are a good number of people in UK having bad credit problem. So in order to bring this group of people under mortgage arena they have evolved new types of mortgages. A bad credit mortgage loan The resumption of normal canal traffic made Anthony Eden angry. (Eden decided that Russia was involved in Egypt’s action. It turns out that Nasser didn’t bother to tell the Russians what he was up to. The French and British didn’t tell Eisenhower what they were up to either. ) Eden’s going into Egypt was a smashing success. They got smashed by successful angry Egyptians. Nikita Khrushchev looked up from his war maps when he heard the war news. He said, “Can’t a guy plan how to put down an uprising without being disturbed? What the hell is Nasser doing anyway? He knows I’ve got Hungary to deal with. Tell those British and French weasels that I’ll blow their butts off with hydrogen bombs if they don’t get the hell out of there.” (Well, he didn’t say those exact words. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_Kruschev.) Eisenhower was furious. He told Eden to get the hell out of Egypt before he really got mad. I guess you’ve seen a dog run with its tail between its legs. The British Army headed right back to England (to shoot Anthony Eden). These are the benefits of the war: Nasser got his canal, Russia paid for the dam, and Anthony Eden disappeared to Jamaica. (Well, he did come back to resign. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/january/9/newsid_2800000/2800833.stm) I’m sure that the Dodo Bird Twins, Tony and George, studied this war. That’s probably how they learned how to start Bush War II. During Bush War I, Dick Cheney decided that it was less expensive to have corporations supply support to the armed forces than to have the military do it. This got Halliburton its big start in this field. Cheney resigned and left government to make money at Halliburton. As soon as Bush War II could be started, Halliburton and its subsidiary got some huge contracts. If you don’t believe that Dick Cheney has benefited from this, his daughter is going strait to please her parents. That’s how we get to the $20.00 meal (if you can remember back that far). A military spokesman was asked how much a Halliburton meal cost the military. The reporter had tried this on a Halliburton spokesman who said that he didn’t
