I look inside myself and see what kind of person I want to be. I think that most immoral things are due to taking someone’s choice away. Raping involves taking a woman's right to choose, immoral. Murder takes away their entire life without choice, immoral. Stealing takes a persons wealth which enables them to life the lifestyle they choose.

I know that I like my life and my ability to think rationally and choose, I would be horrified if someone took that away from me so I extend the same courtesy to other people.

I don't have a feeling of "direction", I don't have any spiritual drive, I like to philosophise and gain insights into the human condition, but my thoughts are normally not about the spirit plane. I know that my life is finite, and its the only one I am likely to get. So I try to do my best; not hedonistically seeking pleasure, but trying to find some happiness. To me, qualia [the intensity of emotion/feeling] does not imply a soul or God, but it does not make the smell of a rose or the taste of strawberries any less powerful or pleasurable.

I simply do not need God or Jesus to have a purpose. I am agnostic, however if it turned out that God definitely did not exist, I wouldn't be disappointed.

How would you share the truth of the Word of God with this guy? The guy seems happy, he seem resolute in his beliefs and He does not believe that God has shown himself on earth?
