What steps do you take to know if they are what they say they are?

First, use your better judgment and common sense. Do they look, act and seem like the person they claim to be?

Second, check their background. Most any company can run a name through a criminal database. But wouldn’t you have more confidence in the background check if it was done by a Licensed Private Investigator?
