    Successful People Are On Time!
I recently attended a Microsoft event at their corporate headquarters in Redmond, Washington. This event was a fantastic opportunity to meet with fellow leaders in the Microsoft partner community from around the world and spend quality time with each one of them. The event was held over four days and we had a very tight schedule and the importance of timeliness was critical to its

What NASA Can Teach You About Your Business Goals
Despite the current issues challenging NASA, it’s financing and the future of the Space Shuttle Program, there is a key lesson you can learn from its past successes. This lesson is about setting a complete goal and including the wider implications for your business and your staff.During the space program in the 60’s and 70’s the over-riding focus for the flights to the moon an
When it comes being a Christian in business, one of the things that will help you reach your goals and face the inevitable trials that life will throw in you pathway is to maintain the right attitude.

One way to do that is to be convinced of your purpose in life.

FACT: So many people (including believers) live life with all its great potential with little or no purpose.

Having a sense of purpose in business is essential for your long term success.

After all the writer of the Book of Proverbs tells us that; "Without a Vision, People Perish..."

    This is true of individuals...

    It is true of nations...

    It is true of businesses...

Ok so how do you develop a sense of purpose?

    1. First, You Need to Have a Vision for your Business.

    • Where is it heading?
    • How is your business impacting the lives of others?
    • What plans do you have for your business to be a blessing to others?
    • Very Important - what specific things, can you do to improve your business?

Next, you need to grab a pen and paper (or a keyboard and mouse) and write your vision down. Print it out and refer to it often.

    2. Develop an Attitude of Gratitude. Seriously - your attitude determines your altitude in life. Like it says in the book of Proverbs; 'As a man thinks in his heart - so is he'

When you are thankful for the blessings in life, you are way more open to seeing the solutions to the inevitable problems that every business owner has to face. Cynical people just seem unable to tap into positive solutions.

Their attitude blinds them to blessings that are staring them in the face. The same is true with bitterness.

    3. Make it a Habit to Consistently Reward Yourself. You would be astonished at how motivated you can become when you set incentives for yourself.

NOTE: Businesses the world over have learned and are using the power of employee incentives - special bonuses and rewards for meeting key performance indicators, sales targets, client retention levels etc

Choose an incentive that genuinely means something to you. In my case, I choose travel. I'll tell myself; "If I make a $25,000 sale this month, I'll take another trip to China!" (I went there 4 times last year)

    4. Pray for Your Business. Ask God to place His blessing on it. But don't just pray and leave it at that. Act each day as though Jesus owned your business. Be a good steward.

    5. Choose a Project for Your Business to Bless. Perhaps helping with an orphanage in the 3rd world, sending a Chinese farmers kid to university (you will cha

My flight from Miami to Los Angeles the other day was something special.Although the 757 was filled to the gills with passengers, which is a circumstance that makes most flight attendants especially prickly, ours did their best to smile throughout the entire trip and to actually thank customers for their business.Apart from hearing the customary phrase, “Thank you for fl
