EA0 field 7, positions 26 - 33, is the accident/symptom date. This is the date that the patient first either started having symptoms of the condition or symptoms from the accident if there was an accident. This date must be in the correct format as specified by the carrier, which can be either yyyymmdd or mmddyyyy.
