Wedding Loans – Celebrate the Occasion without a Burden those available to consumers. Commercially available preparations provide about 500 mg to 1 gram of pyruvate, usually taken a few times a day for a daily intake of 3 to 5 grams. To date, no studies have been performed with such benign dosages.Wedding is the most joyous occasion in any family. But it requires a greater expenditure for making the celebration a memorable one. Besides planned expenditures there are unexpected ones that make a wedding occasion often a burden on a family. So if you go for wedding loans, make sure that you have studied every aspect of the loan beforehand. In case a lower interest rate is your prime concern in taking a wedding loan, it would be wise to place any of your property like home or a valuable asset as collateral with the lender. If equity in collateral is higher, a reduce interest rate is possible which lessens the loan burden. Under secured wedding loans, greater wedding expenses can easily be met as you can borrow anywhere from ?25000 to ?75000. The loan is not at all a burden as you can choose repayment duration as per your present repaying capacity. The monthly payment towards installments is considerably reduced if larger repaying duration is the choice. Secured wedding loans are provided to bad credit people without running a credit check on them. But the property put as collateral may be repossessed in case of payment default. If smaller wedding loan is the requirement than there is no need to risk your property as unsecured wedding loan options can be availed. But you would be forking out higher interest rate. Also the loan shall have to be returned in shorter repayment duration of say 10 years or earlier.Wedding loans are provided to bad credit people having arrears, payment defaults, CCJ’s if the borrower has sufficient repaying capacity to show. Check your credit score before applying to a lender. In both secured and unsecured wedding loans, you must compare interest rate of various lenders for a beneficial deal. You may require the loan in a few days. So apply to an online lender who is likely to approve the loan sooner. Claim: Prevents fat regain and eliminates yo-yo effect This claim is based on a single study (5). Initial weight loss was induced by a 310 kcal diet followed by subsequent hypercaloric refeeding supplemented with large amounts of triose (15 grams of pyruvate and 75 grams of dihydroxyacetone). The treatment group gained 1.8 kg or 3.96 lbs (36%) less weight and 0.8 kg or 1.76 lbs (55%) less fat than the placebo group. However, for a number of reasons, these results cannot be accurately ascribe Headaches - Can Oxygen Therapy Help? INTRODUCTION Pyruvate is a dietary supplement targeting both sedentary and active individuals. The most popular claims for pyruvate center about its purported ability to: 1) significantly increase fat and weight loss; 2) improve exercise endurance capacity; 3) effectively reduce cholesterol, and; 4) serve as a potent antioxidant. However, these contentions are based mainly on faulty extrapolations of preliminary or inconclusive evidence.Oxygen therapy can work extremely well for cluster headaches. Many doctors don’t know about the benefits of this form of treatment and neither do insurance companies who are hesitant to pay for it. Sometimes, it can help if your doctor writes a letter to them. How effective is it?In cluster headache sufferers, 50% of people are helped by it. Although this is a good result, the other 50% aren’t helped, so if you are thinking of getting a tank in your home, it’s best to give it a trial run first. Your doctor could probably arrange this. How long has it been used? The first treatment of headaches with oxygen was studied as far back as 1939. Dr. Alvarez, working at the Mayo Clinic found that 80% of miraine headaches were either helped or stopped. The patients wore a mask to get the 100% oxygen. It was most effective on cluster headaches but other types found some relief too. The therapy was most effective if it was started at the first sign of a migraine. Unfortunately, this study was not as detailed and thorough as recent works. You’ve got a friendThe first important study on the effects of oxygen therapy for cluster headaches was carried out by Dr. Kudrow (father of Lisa Kudrow, the actress who played Phoebe in Friends). He is also a migraine sufferer. His findings were extremely encouraging:He treated 52 out-patients with 100% oxygen. 75% of these people had "complete or almost complete cessation of head pain within 15 minutes: for at least seven of 10 attacks." People under 50 seemed to respond better than those over 50 62% of those who were helped, felt better in under 7 minutes of beginning the oxygen inhalation More good newsA study done by a Dr. Fogan showed that there was a definite improvement for people inhaling oxygen rather than air. Using this comparison he was able to show that it was the oxygen that was helping, rather than the mask or the gas tank. How does it work?Although it has been shown to work, we don’t really know why it works! Migraines and cluster headaches are both known to involve an increase in the flow of blood to the brain. The relief could come because Oxygen can cause a drop in blood flow that would mean less enlarged blood vessels and less pressure on nerves in the brain.Does it have any side effects?People who suffer from c Multi-level marketing supplement distributors and internet entrepreneurs, most without any formal training in nutrition, are leading the campaign with reckless abandon and little regard for the accuracy of their claims. Anecdotal testimonials from satisfied users permeate everything from internet websites to fitness magazines to television infomercials. While the mere mention of scientific studies is enough to impress the lay consumer, a critical review of the original research reveals a very different picture. WHAT IS PYRUVATE? Pyruvate is a three-carbon (triose) ketoacid produced in the end stages of glycolysis. It can be reduced to lactate in the cytoplasm or oxidatively decarboxylated to acetyl CoA in the mitochondrion (13). Simply, it is a product of sugar metabolism. COMPARISON OF POPULAR CLAIMS TO ACTUAL RESEARCH Claim: Significantly increase fat loss by 48% and weight loss by 37%! Two human studies evaluated pyruvate's role as a fat and weight reductant (11, 12). In both investigations, treatment subjects lost more fat and weight than the control group, but only one found these percentages (11). Considerably smaller changes (23% greater fat loss and 16% greater weight loss) were noted in the other study (12). This claim is particularly misleading to consumers since these significant percentages actually amount to only a few pounds. The widely popular 48% translates to a mere 1.3 kg or 2.86 lbs and 37% is really 1.6 kg or 3.52 lbs--hardly the significant losses dieters have come to expect. Furthermore, these percentages have no practical relevance outside the context of a research article (How does a consumer quantify 48 and 37%?). A formal research environment differs from the real world in that the latter presents many confounding variables, so results (or lack thereof) may be attributable to factors unrelated to pyruvate supplementation. The experimental protocol was extremely exclusive. All subjects were: 1) morbidly obese women; 2) housed in a metabolic ward for 21 days; 3) confined to bed except for walking to the restroom and kitchen; and 4) restricted to a 500 to 1,000 kcal liquid diet. As such, the results of these studies are specific to these criteria and cannot be reliably generalized to the population at large. The relatively small differences observed in treatment subjects were induced by dosages considerably larger (22 to 28 grams of triose) than those available to consumers. I woke up one Saturday morning to my wife's elbow in my ribs and her telling me to "stop breathing."Perhaps that has something to do with why we are no longer married.Couples sharing a bedAnyway, there are now people who are actually researching the challenges and benefits of couples sharing a bed.Dr. Paul C. Rosenblatt, a professor of sociology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, has begun to study couples who share a bed and has been so fascinated by the results that he wrote "Two in a Bed: The Social System of Couple Bed Sharing" published this summer by State University of New York Press.According to Dr. Rosenblatt, "It's not a self-help book," but an a look at of some of the challenging, common and often humorous issues couples face when sharing a bed, including spooning, sheet-stealing, snoring, eating in bed and watching TV.Also according to Dr. Rosenblatt, when couples were asked about why they chose to share a bed together, "they looked at me as if I'd asked them why they keep breathing."Many of the couples I coach speak of the challenges, different sleep patters, etc. But they grin when they talk about spooning, the intimacy of talking, and making love The relatively small differences observed in treatment subjects were induced by dosages considerably larger (22 to 28 grams of triose) than those available to consumers. A formal research environment differs from the real world in that the latter presents many confounding variables, so results (or lack thereof) may be attributable to factors unrelated to pyruvate supplementation. No one can deny that the experience of working with information contained on real paper provides a lot more comfort and satisfaction than viewing it on a computer monitor. This is not just the case when trying to view portrait oriented office documents on a landscape monitor, but even more so when it comes to working with large documents such as engineering plan drawings or maps. Many image viewing applications try and make the experience more pleasant with an innovative array of software functions such as displaying thumbnails with birds eye views and smooth panning.Luckily however, the incredible advances in computer hardware together with much higher monitor resolution is making the experience a lot more bearable. So why are we trying our damnedest to cram wide format documents into computers, even though the user experience remains less than ideal?Of course the reasons are compelling, especially from a business point of view. One of the most powerful motivators for going digital has got to be the cost savings in terms of digital distribution by means of e-mail or publishing on the Internet.Other compelling reasons include the ability to convert images from plan drawings, maps and other wide format documents to CAD format by means of a process called vectorization. This software process operates similar to OCR or optical character recognition, a complex software application that converts scanned text into computer recognisable text.Vectorisation software is extremely useful for the conversion of engineering plan drawings and GIS information from maps into popular CAD file formats for the purposes of editing or to act as electronic stencils for the purposes of cutting or milling shapes in the fields of product manufacture and reverse engineering.Unfortunately though, the cost of acquiring large format scanning capability has been prohibitive for all but the larger and more profitable organisations. With the typical cost of a wide format colour scanner ranging between $10K to $20K, it has never been economically viable for smaller organisations to benefit from this crucial technology. However, one can always rely on the typical Australian "can-do" attitude to come up with a simpler solution. Due to their rugged and unforgiving environment, Australians have always managed to come up with category busters when it comes to innovative solutions. Some examples of The experimental protocol was extremely exclusive. It will either kill them or they will fail. Here are some of the ways the very best set about Team Building...Be ClearGreat team leaders have expressed a very clear vision and with it, simple expectations of their team. Are Fair and ConsistentThey have one set of rules and one set only - for everyone including themselves. Everyone knows the acceptable behaviour and standards.DelegateThe best Team Building comes through sharing key workload, enabling team members to succeed, develop and deliver the result.Leave Well AloneLeaders are very clear on what they want and then let go. They are not especially interested in how it is delivered, though they recognise the best results come from collaboration.Provide ResourcesGreat team leaders enhance the relationship with their team by ensuring that they have all they need to get the job done, whilst subtly alerting them to potential difficulties, without taking over.Give and Take FeedbackIn open and honest relationships, all members of the team are willing to give each other support and feedback - including the leader. Both ways.Blame No-oneTo truly enable a team of positive and willing contributors, risk is allowed! Using the phrase...'ask for forgiveness, not permission'...a great team evolves. Delivering outstanding results.Develop the TeamExcellent Team Building comes from growing together and a top team leader's mission is to make that happen. Synergies are exploited, experiences are shared and above all team members are challenged and stretched to maximise achievements, in a place of safety.Appreciate IndividualsThere are great individuals in great teams and the leaders job is to honour each and every one of them, whilst utilising those special, individual talents, in a co-creative team performance.Celebrate TogetherAnd boy do those best at Team Building know how to make the most of success - ready for the next challenge! So Team Building can be done - there are a few simple rules and approaches to take your team to the very top and deliver the very best The experimental protocol was extremely exclusive. To date, no studies have been performed with such benign dosages. This is an exciting journey you’re about to undertake. Before you can make it in a business of your own however you need to think about your own “way of being”. I won’t get too deep here, but you need to know who you are not, so you can find a business that’s right for you. I’ve never known anyone that in a search for themselves, found themselves – you’ve been there all along. What they did instead was find out who they weren’t. Whether this is a new business or the expansion of an existing business you need to be aware of what makes you tick so you choose the right business for you. Below I have some tips that will add light years to your understanding of what may be holding you or others you know back from realizing your full potential in business and many other areas as well. These are the things I find most business owners and those wanting to start a business of their own, have a hard time with.1) There is no missing piece to your puzzle except for your own action to go out and make a change. There is no hidden message or kernel of truth you’re missing to succeed in starting your own business. This feeling of thinking your missing some special knowledge or attribute is the same feeling multi-billionaires feel everyday. Humans never stop analyzing and judging everything. It’s as if we’re all programmed to feel that we’re faking the current moment. This self-doubt is part of the human condition. Get used to it, it won’t go away. Learn instead to be aware of it. Have faith that in time and with some success your current fears will diminish and you’ll be faced with new ones as life challenges you to grow.2) All entrepreneurs make blunders, mistakes and poor decisions at some point. Expect it and move on.3) If you don’t understand a facet of operating a business, this does not mean you can’t have a business. You will simply need to hire a person to handle the task OR learn how to do it yourself.4) If you feel frightened, that’s entirely normal. When we step outside of our comfort zone, we’re being extra-ordinary. That is one of the reasons business coaching and business education exist. These things exist because people often need help breaking thru these barriers.Take this from a guy that has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs. The four issues I just laid out are entirely normal issues for those looking to launch a business of their own. So, feel the fear and do it anyway. However, for a number of reasons, these results cannot be accurately ascribed to the general public. This study also employed morbidly obese women housed in a metabolic ward for 21 days while refraining from all physical activity. While results were statistically significant, they were physiologically negligible; that is, from an absolute standpoint the changes were relatively inconsequential. Claim: Significantly improve exercise endurance by 20% Stanko and colleagues found triose-supplemented (75 grams dihydroxyacetone and 25 grams pyruvate) subjects increased time to exhaustion by 20% during arm and leg ergometry protocols (9, 10). Unfortunately, these results are far from conclusive and should be considered, at best, preliminary. First, both studies employed small numbers of untrained males; no large-scale investigations using trained subjects have been performed. Well-trained athletes present less intra- and inter-subject variability in performance which can increase the statistical power of the trial (2). Second, the large amounts of pyruvate needed to elicit improvements ranged from 20 to 100 times the amounts found in supplements. Unfortunately, there is no evidence that the minuscule doses available to consumers exert any physiological effect. Some marketers have generalized that pyruvate supplementation can improve performance across a broad spectrum of activities. However, such quantum leaps are inappropriate since these results are specific to arm and leg ergometry protocols. Different activities impose specific physiological and biochemical demands, and can vary in their motor unit recruitment patterns. The point is that no one knows what effect it has, if any, on other sports; claims to the contrary are based solely on speculation. Claim: Shown to lower cholesterol Two studies (7, 8) investigated pyruvate's role as a cholesterol reductant; however, only one showed any change (8). Treatment subjects took (large doses) 36 to 53 grams of pyruvate over the course of six weeks while consuming a high fat (45 to 47%), high cholesterol (560-620 mg) diet. While the results in this study (8) showed small changes in total cholesterol (4%) and LDL cholesterol (5.4%), these effects were negated when subjects consumed a low-fat, low cholesterol diet (7). It is not valid to state that pyruvate has been conclusively proven to reduce plasma lipids. While popular marketing literature leads consumers to believe that this is an effective treatment for hyperlipidemia, one study does not constitute a substantial body of evidence. No legitimate public health agency would ever make broad recommendations based on such scant evidence. Claim: Improves cardiac function and lowers blood pressure In one of the cholesterol studies (8), heart rate and diastolic blood pressure decreased by 9 and 6%, respectively; however, these changes were incidental to the research objectives and were not the main focus of the study. These preliminary findings should not be considered conclusive. Rather, the
