Opening A Dollar Store - Does Location Really Make a Difference?
Are you opening a dollar store? Have you started looking for a location yet? If not, then it is important to know that finding the right location is without a doubt the most important tasks that you will undertake prior to opening your store. Take the time to thoroughly examine the location options that are available before you make a decision. The demographics of the potential dollar store shopper are very broad, and the number of shoppers within that demographic group is huge. Stay in business long enough and you’ll most likely develop friendships with some of your employees. Maybe not a close friendship but one that gives you and them a comfort zone that differs from when they were first hired. As more trust is built or gained through ongoing working relations, usually everyone lowers their guard a bit and begins to settle into a “working relationship”.

It’s not an uncommon practice or unusual expectation to offer a key to your Office Manager or a key personal assistant (no pun intended). In fact, I’ve found it to be quite normal that ranking personnel have access to certain files and other business trade secrets that are not available to each and every colleague. That doesn’t mean they know every asset of the company and have access to all things. However an implied trust is given and whatever they learn, is to spur on the company’s business and enable them to do the best job for you as their employer.

    Medical Billing - GX0 Record Fields 28 Through 37
There is a big misconception about medical billing and the people who do the billing. The layman thinks that these people have no special skills and are just your everyday run of the mill office person. This couldn't be further from the truth. A medical biller needs to be extremely sharp with all the rules and regulations attached to medical billing. And when it comes to billing oxygen claims, it is even more critical that the biller be on the top of his game. In this installment on medical billing

    Nail Products A Cosmetics
Girls, girls, girls! Where does their clothing, accessory, hair products, and shoe madness ever end? Oh, and let's not forget about all those nail products. That's the last thing we'd want to do. After all, as we know, women cannot survive without their primping and cosmetic rituals. The nails are about as important as the hair. This is a given! If you don't believe me, just take a look at the next female that passes by. I have to admit that I thank God each day that we men don't have to worry about the

    Band-aids Don't Cure Stress
The stresses of long working days are getting to Australian employees, with 25% saying they would like a plug-and-play room at work in order to partake in a bit of escapism during the work-day, A further 25% say they would like to see the introduction of a meditation room in the office in order to bring a bit of peace and balance back to their life. Quick Tip - Shushing a Loud Cell Phone Talker
Janet, one of my clients from Chicago, recently asked my advice on dealing with people who talk loudly on their cell phones while in public. I know I’ve been guilty of this offense before as my voice tends to project very well and sometimes I forget that I don’t need to speak very loudly for my phone to pick it up.Sometimes, like when you’re in a movie theater, any kind of loud cell phone talking needs to be quieted immediately and the most direct way is the best. But often in public, you may f

If you as an employer do not have certain “fail safe” tactics in place you are setting yourself up for a hard lesson. I’m suggesting its not “if” but only a matter of time before someone takes an undue advantage of their position. I would agree most are minor and don’t require firing, let alone a lawsuit. However, you would be wise to install certain procedures that allow you to check up on your employees.

It’s a good practice to call into your office and pose as a potential customer (or existing customer) and ask questions about your products and/or services. Monitor calls if you have a phone system that allows you to do such a thing and grade your employee’s performances and critique their customer service calls. You will learn a great deal as to how your “real” customers are being handled and glean good information in the area of employee conduct.

I’m writing from experience. I had given extra liberties to one of my employees, including supplying a key to the
