My wife Anne and I have visited a number of luxury country house hotels in the UK over the last few years including the following in Wales which carry our personal recommendation.

    PALE HALL

Pale Hall is a luxury country house hotel in Wales located in a secluded position close to Bala in North Wales set in several acres and surrounded by countryside with excellent walks on its doorstep.

The hotel has 17 bedrooms-we had a suite with a small separate lounge and a beautifully appointed bedroom and bathroom with period pieces of furniture.

As we pulled up to the entrance to this country house hotel we were greeted outside by a friendly member of staff and shown into a most beautiful entrance hall of huge proportions with a galleried landing-you feel like you are staying in a private country home. There are loungers to relax in in the hall.

The drawing room is vast and exquisitely furnished with lovely views over the gardens. We enjoyed a drink before dinner.

Dinner was excellent-both the service and the food. The restaurant was candle lit giving it a romantic feel.

Breakfast was beautifully cooked and served in the breakfast room.

The staff are most professional and personable.

    Enjoy!

    LLANGOED HALL

Llangoed Hall is a beautifully appointed luxury country house hotel in Wales located a few miles outside Brecon in mid Wales. There are beautiful views towards the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains and the River Wye is located about 200 yards to the rear of the hotel where I enjoyed fly fishing for brown trout.

This country house hotel is owned by Sir Bernard Ashley, husband of the late Laura Ashley. Upon leaving the main road you drive for about a quarter of a mile before pulling up outside the hotel where you are greeted outside by a member of staff who removes your luggage and takes you into the entrance hall before being shown to your bedroom.

There are 23 bedrooms located in both the original part of this wonderful country house hotel where our room was situated and in a more modern wing. Our room overlooked the sheep filled fields to the side of the hotel and was vast with excellent furnishings and a large bathroom.

There are two drawing rooms which can be opened as one- both with roaring log fires and a grand piano. There are so many places to relax in in the drawing rooms -you will delight in being able to unwind in front of one of the fires perhaps reading a novel. Many of the furnishings are antiques.

The Smart Investor Waits For Events That Will Disturb Markets
Within the last several weeks the Federal Reserve announced its long range goals for the economy and the stock market rallied. But then, several days later, the Middle East ignited once more, sending markets sharply lower. The Fed’s policies quite rightly inform stock valuations, because the Fed directly influences interest rates. When rates rise, investors have the option of moving their money to bonds,

    Interior Decorating Ideas
Creativity is the core of interior decorating. You need to let loose your imagination, aesthetic sense, and intelligence, and cull out as many ideas as possible. Interior decorating can be compared to poetry, as both are vast and simply do not seem to have a definite end. You can go on and on and on.There are several styles of interior decorating. You can browse through them leisurely, compare and contrast th

Why I'm Not Buying Your eBook

    Identity and Your Figure
Ever flicked through a magazine muttering envious expletives at the perfect size eight models adorning the pages, or cursed the Angelina Jolie look-alike working in Gap on Saturdays? Why are some people so physically perfect and seemingly happy with their lot? Did they forget to queue up at the cellulite counter when the fat retention genes were being distributed? Obviously they passed directly to the 'smug grin' se
