    Choosing A Six Sigma Program
Business organizations all across the globe are deploying Six Sigma concepts and techniques for improving the quality of their products or services. This is necessary, as quality products or

Tips for Brightening Up a Bland Workspace
Whether you're in a spacious corner office or a cramped cubicle, sometimes a workspace can seem bland and uninspiring. From a neutral palette to cookie-cutter furniture, many offices -- particularly those not open to the public or to clients -- are designed for function over form. The good news is that there are easy ways to brighten any office space. New England area is experiencing some good economic rebounding finally. Those markets, which involve larger consumer items are finding life a little tough, smaller manufacturers are waiting for orders and everyone is waiting on cash flow in the New England rural areas and cities under 150,000 which is nearly every city in NH, VT and ME and that 85% of the cities (calling a city that which is over 10K pop.) in CT, RI and MA. In some NH cities those involved in custom manufacturing are talking in terms of a “Train Wreck” when discussing the economic calamity. They were being promised by the Democrats who wanted a good showing in the NH primaries complete economic recovery, not sure how that was going to happen. Why is politics so important to these issues? Well because the rhetoric and bullshit has a lot to do with consumer sentiment and spending behavior. Since Summer is here now the New England area is happy to have the big events such as Bike Week, which brings in 2 million dollars to local rural areas. The forth of July will also help out. The charge of customers always come out of the wood work for Memorial Day with excellent cooperation on weather. One regional factory store group has been very excited as were the regional malls and Lobster tail and hotdog carts on board walks and tourist areas.

The restaurants have not seen a huge rebound and the hotel industry now that weather is better are feeling a little safer but they feel that the uncertainty is the worst. Also of note are the low interest rates for high priced and well established consumer items such as housing, second homes, motor homes SUVs and cars, no layoffs in that sector although some months have been slow and five star dealers are over stocked. So How Was Your First Quarter? Today's Activities Determine Tomorrow's Success
So how WAS your first quarter of 2006? Wait – it’s still the middle of 4th quarter; what am I talking about? One of the things that salespeople and sales managers tend to lose sight of is the factor that time plays in the sales cycle. We think if we work really hard this month that we can pull out a great month, or a great quarter. But, do desperation, last-minute pushes really work? If you’re

Your Team Members Don't Have To Be Perfect
I would like to say that, the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. I believe everyone wants to constantly improve. I believe each one of us is created as perfection; however, the results we create are excellent, so there is lots of room for improvement in what we do. The associates I hired in my bicycle and lawnmower shop like myself, were never perfect; however, they were e

    International Trade Impact
International trade has become increasingly important to the world economy as well as the U.S. economy. Trade accounts for about 25 percent of U.S. and world gross domestic product (GDP). It is growing at twice the rate of any other economic sector. In terms of the United States, one-third of the small firms that make an exportable product and would like to export do not presently export what
