You want to have an image between 30KB and 100KB. Example, an image of 30KB is approximately 150 pixels wide by 220 pixels high. Like I said before, after cropping and sizing your image, you want to conserve your file using 'Save As' and not 'Save' because you don't want to overwrite your file or image. Well, maybe you do but you shouldn't in case you want to do something else with it. It should be saved as a JPEG file.

Now your ready to email your image as an attachment to your friends or family without any problems. You can use free software like Picasa which will make your editing process task somewhat easier. Happy cropping.
