    Start Your Own Search Engine
Nobody can doubt the huge success of search businesses like Google and Yahoo, generating billions in revenues for their shareholders. However the sheer size of these search engines can sometimes lead to poorer quality results and a number of niche search engines have sprung up offering better searches for specific subjects, and making a tidy profit for their owners.Up until now, most people have lacked either the technical expertise or the financial capability to create their own n
always send the goods without clearing checks first. The same goes for payments awaiting clearance through PayPal. My philosophy has always been: it’s not worth making the honest majority wait for their goods just because
    Increase Your Sales By Following-Up
The difference between a successful business and one that just gets by is that the business that is just getting by thinks that the marketing is over when the sale has been made. One of the main reasons customers leave, change suppliers, or stop buying is because of apathy on the part of the company. There is never any follow-up after the sale. Customers often feel neglected. They feel that the company doesn’t appreciate their business so they will give it to another company that do
I wish I had a dollar for every time someone has asked me that question and that way I’d probably make more money than I’ve ever lost by posting goods before checks clear – or don’t clear as the case might be!

It is a problem, especially for new eBay sellers – you don’t want to celebrate your first few sales on eBay only to find the checks bounce for goods you’ve already sent to winning bidders.

The problem for newcomers is one of fearing negative feedback for not delivering the goods immediately after payment arrives, even though checks take up to seven days to clear (or to bounce!)

Thankfully, there are ways round the problem and I can honestly say I invariably send goods before checks clear and I’ve only ever been let down twice! For tiny amounts!

My view is that most people are honest, few will bounce checks and, for small amounts (less than $20 in my books) I always send the goods without clearing checks first. The same goes for payments awaiting clearance through PayPal. My philosophy has always been: it’s not worth making the honest majority wait for their goods just because a

Practical Advice to Generate Successful Campaigns Using Merged Lists
You could end up with poor results when designing a direct mail campaign that combines your inhouse list with one or more rented lists. Merging lists generates a set of conditions that you may not have thought about at the conception stage. It is better to face the challenges before finalizing your design and strategy to avoid last minute alterations that so often occur. Once you determine your strategy, we strongly suggest you rent your lists early and work closely with the personnel h

Franchise Sales; Recruiting of Laid Off Employees
Because of corporate downsizing, many people have been laid-off or voluntarily taken early retirement packages and/or incentives. This happens when times are good due to mergers and acquisitions or when the economy is in the dumps and corporations are working to cut payroll costs. Almost all of these people have absolutely had it with corporate life; they feel burned and unappreciated. They realize that there is no such thing as job security. If a franchiser sales team gets the lead in

Improve Your Donation Thank-You Letters, Cards, and Notes: Make Your Donor The Hero
One temptation in writing fundraising thank-you letters is to make your organization the star of the letter. You feel pressure to tell your donors how terrific you are, how cost-effective you are or how broke you are. You are tempted to brag about your achievements, your success, your volunteers, your new board member and more. You need to resist this temptation. The secret to crafting effective donation thank-you letters is “making the donor the star of every transaction,” as

Affiliate Marketing: 7 Steps to Automated Profits!
Do you remember when there was no remote controls, or microwaves?Well, many of those things really automate our lives now, in fact many things in our lives are automated, we can say that in general we really like things to be automated because it makes our lives easier. And the same applies to affiliate marketing, we would love it to be more automated, to make money the easy and smart way...,right?...Well it is possible, but just like the many automated things we h
always send the goods without clearing checks first. The same goes for payments awaiting clearance through PayPal. My philosophy has always been: it’s not worth making the honest majority wait for their goods just because a tiny few payments might be dishonoured. You need to keep your good customers happy, lead them to buy from you again, and nothing works better than fulfilling the goods and trusting them to honour their side of the bargain.

That said, if a lot of money is involved (you must decide this level for yourself) or the buyer looks ‘iffy’, I break my own rule and let payment clear first.

With experience these are the rules I apply which you are free to copy in your business:

    * Check buyer feedback, look for high feedback scores (100 plus) from sellers, look for any negatives or neutrals indicating payment disputes. Be wary of feedback representing tiny amounts of money which might indicate your winning bidder has grown feedback fast on penny items to turn tail and scam subsequent sellers of more expensive items.

    * Risk low amounts to new buyers without high feedback s
