Well... for starters, I know 5 such people personally and only one is really well known in the Internet marketing scene. I know of at least 20 such people on top of those. And almost all are in the "Online marketing" niche. They are all selling "How to make money online" products. There are probably many more I don't know of in this niche that are making quite a lot of money online (we're talking at least a million dollars a year here).
I wouldn't exactly call this pennies, would you? And I didn't even start to go into other niches, such as weight loss, acne, beauty products, etc.
So... what's the real problem with believing a stupid sentence from the beginning of this article?
The problem is that because of it, many get discouraged and never even try marketing online. Others try, but in the face of early failure quit. Still others get some success, but they don't soon reach complete financial independence and let it go...

No doubt, if you've been pursuing Internet marketing for at least a week, you've heard of countless "systems" for making money online. You've probably also noticed how these "systems" all promise to get you rich practically overnight and without any investment of your money and time.

If you want to reduce waste and grow your business it can be useful to know where to look. Marketing waste is usually most apparent in these 7 key areas:1. Activity (over production)2. I suggest Blogger.com for various reasons I don't want to bother you with right now.
4.) Make that blog a little different. This is the first real tip for success in Internet marketing. Appearance is everything. If you're able to come across as "professional", your chances of selling literally raise 10 times. But you have to be careful -- don't make it too professional. Make sure it looks like you really care about your blog! This is the golden key. People will see you really want to give value and that you really care about what you do.
Even though it's extremely easy to change the look of your blog on Blogger, if you really don't know how, hire someone to do it for you. It can cost you as little as $10. Ask a friend if he could help you and take him to dinner. Whatever you do, make it look like you really CARE about your blog. Of course, the best scenario is if you really do care.
5.) Post at least 25 posts on the blog. Make sure that:
- you use your main keyword (the one you target) in every subject line
- you use your main keyword at least a few times in your main text
- you use your main keyword at the very end of your text
- you write quality content -- show people respect, show them that they can trust you. Make yourself an authority
- your posts are about 400-700 words long and that you post at least the first ten regularly (every day or at least every second day)
- every post contains links to every other post on the blog (you can set this up in the template)
- you reference the products you're promoting regularly in a more or less "by the way" fashion (and use the affiliate links). Do write that you recommend the products, but don't try too hard to sell them. You must do some pre-selling, but let the selling to the product sellers.
6.) Promote your site. Obviously the points 5.) and 6.) can be done simultaneously. Here are a few things you can do:
- go to Ezinearticles.com and become a publisher. You can add a link to your site in the resource box
- go to Goarticles.com and do the same
- go to relevant forums and post helpful posts. In the signature, you can usually include a link to your site
- and so on
At the beginning you will need to put some work into it (there's nothing out there for nothing!), but if you follow these points, you'll soon find yourself earning decent money online. The more you do it, the more you'll earn.
