How To Get A Job Without Experience - Sell Yourself Just As You Would If You Were A Salesperson come One." That article is available on my website at:It's easier to find a job than you think. You don't need experience, you just think you do; perhaps that is just your excuse because your job search isn’t going quite well – Nobody’s hiring me because I don't have any relevant work experience. Bad excuse!Back when I first finished school I didn't have any experience either. I did what everybody else did – I sent resumes in response to job ads in the classifieds. That didn't work. Then I got creative. I was specifically looking for a sales job because that’s what I thought that I would like. I thought to myself, what is a sales manager looking for when hiring a salesperson? I knew the answer. A sales manager wants somebody that can sell. How can I show that I could sell without actually having a track record? I could show him. Here's what I http://williecrawford.com/articles.html The second problem is in knowing who is genuine and who hasn't really learned the ropes yet. My advice to many of my clients is to fully check out anyone before following their advice. Simply go to any major search engine and enter their domain or their name. Years ago, I read Harvey MacKay's fantastic best-seller, Beware The Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt. I really enjoyed the book and even sent Harvey a note. He sent me an autographed copy of his book "Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive." It's one of my most prized possessions - but back to the naked man...It has been observed that often business opportunity sellers use shills to promote their products or business opportunities in advertising. Perhaps you seen this before when someone on TV was obviously a very skilled actor will swear by certain product or business opportunity in an infomercial. They claim that they've made all kinds of money in this new investment and business opportunity, yet often this is totally fraudulent. You see, often the person stating what a great business it is; is only an actor they are not in the business nor have a meeting the money doing anything for the business other than being an actor for the video. You see, the Federal Trade Commission is now onto this and they have proposed a new set of rules to prevent this type of fraud, as it is disreputable and misl When you surf the various websites offering advice and information products teaching you how to earn an online income, it becomes glaringly obvious that many people who created these products haven't done what they teach! They are in effect, "naked men offering you their shirts." Anyone just starting out online can understand why this happens. If you put up a website on making money online, and you admit that you haven't made any yet, people will realize that you have no useful advice to pass on. To avoid this consequence, beginners often "fake it, until they make it." One of the reasons many online marketers never "make it" in the first place is because they ARE following the advice of "naked men." They are absorbing, believing, and then re-teaching the conventional wisdom so prevalently shared in the internet marketing arena. The consequence is that not only does the creator of the info product fail, but so do all of his mislead followers. We have two problems within this situation. The first is, "How does a beginner establish himself as an expert if he has achieved no major online marketing success?" The answer is that he creates a product in an area that he IS an expert in or that he has very thoroughly researched. The beginner can also very easily create a product by interviewing or partnering with someone possessing the knowledge or skills he lacks. I sort of touched upon this in another article I wrote entitled, "Don't Pretend To Be An Expert, Become One." They are in effect, "naked men offering you their shirts."Many of you conduct year end performance evaluations with your employees. In this article we will presume that these have been positive experiences for both you and your employee and that you mutually agreed upon opportunities for growth, development, and improvement. As you look back over the past year did you see progress toward the achievement of those opportunities or did the employee start off enthusiastic but soon returned to the old way of doing things or behaving? Are you wondering why? Well first let’s agree that nearly every employee truly wants to do a good job and gain the approval of their employer. Those rare birds that don’t are another discussion entirely. That means that when employees aren’t giving us what we ask of them we need to evaluate our systems and pinpoint the systemic Anyone just starting out online can understand why this happens. Is there such thing as a true cold call?I say No. And these are my five reasons I say so....1. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR SIDE OF THE AISLE –As an exhibitor, there will be people you have never met, representing companies you do not know but – you are not calling on them. The visitor has the control of the encounter and approaches you. The cold call is TO you, not from you.2. MOST VISITORS ARE FOCUSED –They have a problem – immediate, perceived, anticipated or just a dream. They are looking for a solution, and in most cases, they are casing your company as a solution provider. I'm advising you to trust your instincts. Another way to easily check out someone is by using a website called "The Way Back Machine." This website visits sites scattered across the internet and takes a snapshot of them. So if someone tells you that they've been in business for 5 years and you see that their only website is barely a year old, run away very fast - and don't look back! The way back machine can be found at: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php If you enter my url, http://williecrawford.com in the search box, you will see that it offers snapshots of how sad this website looked beginning in 1998. Prior to that time, all of my websites were self-replicated websites offered by various affiliates programs, and websites built on free hosts such as FreeYellow, Angelfire, Hypermart, Webspawner, and about 30 others :-) To digress just a little, I purchased my own domain name when someone responded to one of my posts in Links Exchange Digest insisting that I would have a lot more credibility if I got my own domain name AND ditched the Hotmail account. I kept websites on free hosts for several more years, but finally started really listening. People were telling me that using a free hosting company... building and promoting their domain, was just bad business.
