    Getting Paid Sooner
HOW CAN YOU GET PAID SOONER?How can you avoid being the involuntary banker for slow-paying customers? This is a frequent issue in our Business Group meetings. Here are ideas from the last such discussion:1. Get a merchant account. Have people pay you by credit card as soon as work is done. If people pay you monthly, enter their card number into your system, so you’ll bill them automatically. This costs you a couple of percentage points, but you get your money right now. It’s amazing the large amounts that businesspeople put on their cards! They want to build up their miles. We recently put a “shopping cart” on our website so that customers can enter their cr

Is Word Links The Next Advertising Trend
The advertising industry is one that has stood the test of time. In more recent years, website advertising is yet another form of advertising that has become quite popular and necessary in this world where the internet rules. Advertising is no longer monopolized by print magazines, the broadcast industry, billboards and the media. However, it is important to first know the different modes of advertising from which you may choose. Some variations of website advertising are the pixel ad or word links. In 2005, a student by the name of Alex Tew had the idea to sell some advertising spaces on his website to help finance his studies. Before long, all of his site dots
One my favorite attributes of the Internet is that, if you know where to look, you can find tips, a 'how-to' or advice on just about any subject. This is certainly a valuable resource for anyone with an internet connection, and can work out very well for fairly static subjects like lawn care.

After all, the properties of Kentucky Blue are fairly constant. But what if you walked out your front door one summer morning to a yard full of dead grass, and upon questioning your neighbor about why it died he told you, "You didn’t hear? Grass started drinking olive oil yesterday instead of water without telling anyone. Ain’t that a stinker?" Now, what if this happened every six months or so?

Such is the landscape of search engine optimization, where the search engines are constantly changing the game, and the advice you find online, dating all the way back to 2005, may no longer be relevant. With that in mind, it is important to update your knowledge base. So here are 2007’s most important elements for a Search Engine Optimized Page:

1.) The Title Tag: An oldie but goodie, the title tag is not only what ultimately gets the user to your site from the SERPs (because it is what the search engines use when linking to your page), but its one of the most important pieces of every search engine’s ranking algorithm.

Remember to place only a few closely related keywords inside this tag, and to put your keyword before your company name. Search users are impatient and looking for fast information. They’re not looking to be branded. A search user may never even get past your company name in the title if the listing below it catches their eye first.

    Organizational Structure, Creativity, Innovation
Organizational structure can inhibit or foster creativity and innovation. The problem with organizational structure though, is that it is resultant of many factors, including history, organic growth, strategy, operational design, product diversity, logistics, marketing, client base, supplier base and so forth. Therefore, what managers need, are not recipes for complete structural change, but insights into the properties of fostering structures that can be adapted into the existing structure. To start, it is useful to analyse the preferred structures against the not so preferred. There are many definitions of types of organizational structure, but one example is:<

    Ksa's - The Hidden Truth
The truth is this: Whether you say "KSA" "KSA’s" or "Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities"?, You are talking about the same thing. A KSA is simply an specialized essay required with most Federal Government Resumes. Ok! no secretive almost answers here just the facts; a KSA is an essay that's it!Are the KSA's Important to the Federal hiring process? Yes they are, they are Very Important. KSA's are usually (there are some exceptions) rated on a points system, from 1 to 10. KSA’s are that extra information used to separate the best candidates out of the pool of qualified applicants.KSA's are written in the first person, following t

    A Recipe for Success
Special event and a special recipe- hand it out on a business card.I have seen many real estate people, give out recipes with their newsletter. I find one typed onto a full sheet almost every month. Some of the recipes look absolutely delicious but I find that the extra information and consequent size of the sheet make it not worth keeping (at least for me). A way around getting your recipes in the hands of the consumer is to put them on something that is easy to store in a recipe box or keep under a magnet on the fridge. If the recipe will fit on a business card, you can slip it in with the newsletter you distribute. The draw back to using a business card fo

Oscommerce Customization, to Give Your Online Store Your Style
Owning and operating an online store is now easier then ever. Thanks to the development of many software programs, just about anyone with some basic computer knowledge can manage a busy online shopping site and still have time for the important things in life. This is shown with the oscommerce software setups that are now available to people all over the Internet.Oscommerce, which is short for open source commerce, is a powerful tool in the online store arena. Using PHP and Apache, this software integrates all of the tools that one needs to operate an online store. This is a vast improvement over the older methods where the stores could only be operated by a person

2.) Keyword Density: Believe it or not, keyword density is still important. You may hear some SEOs tell you that keyword density is dead and they can get your site ranked using links alone. The latter half of this statement is true, the former is not. Think of it this way: Dieting alone can make you lose your gut, but dieting and exercise will get you there twice as quick. The right keyword density will give your pages the same positive result that exercise has on dieting.

Many Search Engine Optimizers will tell you that optimum keyword density is between 3-6%. That’s true, but difficult to measure (for example: are we taking into account navigational, header and footer text or just the main content?). As a rule of thumb, I try to use the keyword once every other paragraph. That is by no means a hard science, but it works for me.

3.) Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI): Here’s one that wasn’t around last year. For those unfamiliar with LSI, it is a way for Google to better determine the relevancy of a page. By using LSI, Google can automatically calculate which terms are used most often along with any given keyword and score pages based upon whether or not those complimentary keywords appear on a page.

By deploying LSI into their algorithm, Google is now able to tell the difference between the animal and the automobile "Jaguar" by identifying words and phrases like "ferocious cat" or "moon roof" on the page with it.

Google can also thwart spammers who are using phrases like "Keyword is the best solution on the market to meet your needs and for more
