    Balanced Scorecard Examples
The idea of the Balance Scorecard (BSC) is to create feasible measurements that will give you a complete view of your company and that are linked to your general objectives as a company. Balanced Scorecard Management makes sure you can be able to measure economic internal processes that are decisive to make decisions at the right moment based on the knowledge and resources that substantiate your business model.Su

Create a Perfect Product Using Your Ideas
Ideas are the only assets which have no fixed values. It is equally well known that ideas are the beginning of all achievements. Ideas are the foundation of all fortunes, the starting point of all inventions. This is where it all begins. This stage, as the first, is the one on which the rest build. If you decide on the wrong idea now, then all time and money spent on the project will be a bad investment. You
Over the years, I've spent a lot of time traveling to Las Vegas for business, particularly in my corporate past.

Large trade shows, and conferences that meant day long 'schmooze' fests with sales people, product managers and other executives all trying to out network one another.

At the end of a two or three day trek, and with Cheryl Crow's lyrics from Leaving Las Vegas singing in my head, I was ready to "leave for good!" During one of my trips, I recall being asked to sit in on a game of blackjack. I'm no fan of gambling but I agreed to join the group as an observer.

I later asked one of the players if they had any special 'tips' they would be willing to share. It wasn't until much later that I realized my question was inappropriate but one can be perceived as bold when in fact, they just don't know better!

Here are the three tips I was given and ironically, they apply directly to branding:

    The Adventures of Wolley Segap-Powerless
I wasn’t facing a severe problem until the sun went down. It was nightfall and now, I was forced to light a bunch of dusty old candles and place them around the living room. The power had been out for several hours now and I was getting pretty grumpy. Besides the lack of air conditioning, I missed my television and microwave. Yes, I had checked the fuse box and called a few neighbors, only to discover that I was the l

Minding Your Own Brand - Is Your Team Ready To Win?
PLAY BALL! Baseball season has begun. All winter, teams have been making deals to acquire the best possible talent. However, star power alone doesn’t win a championship. As Babe Ruth said, “The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime.” Therefore, smart teams have spent spring trai

    Accounts Receivable Process
The process of accounts receivable starts when products or services are provided to a customer on credit. The company that details the transaction including the total amount and duration of credit creates an invoice. The invoice is then recorded. If payment is on time the accounts receivable process ends there. However, often this is not the case. That's when the collection department takes over. First, the custom

    1. Remain consistent:

All great brands are consistent in how they present themselves and in what they communicate to their audience. In Blackjack, changing up your system raises a red flag and draws unwanted attention to you.

In branding, being inconsistent causes your audience to not only be confused about your position, but it also makes it difficult for you to build trust.

Authenticity is the key to creating brand trust and loyalty.

When you design your brand position focusing on your special skills, talents and accomplishments, you communicate a consistent message. It is only when you are reaching for 'slick sales' moves that you loose your authenticity and consistency.

    2. Keep an eye on the other players, never play at a table where someone clearly plays recklessly:

The importance of carefully choosing your brand partners is vital. Associating with another business that does not share your brand values can damage your brand reputation. Looking at the bottom line monetary gains alone wh
