The Nevada Constitution was framed by a convention of delegates chosen by the people met at Carson City. The constitution was framed on July 4, 1864 and adjourned by the same year on July 28. On the 1st September of 1864, the people of Nevada approved the constitution. On October 31, 1864, President Lincoln proclaimed the state into the union along with others states.
